Paddle Fit Series, Part #2

Ready to get outside and enjoy the Michigan summer? We are, too! Join us, Misty Marcum Rolfs & Stephanie Williams, for a 2-part fitness, paddle board, and yoga series on Sylvan Lake! 

Part 1: Sunday, June 24th. 8:30-10am.
Part 2: Wednesday, June 27th. 6:30-8pm.

We'll take you from fun and fit paddle board 101 to feeling confident and accomplished in your skills to keep on paddling on your own! We will introduce new instruction and exercises, both on land and water. View the class descriptions below!

Sign up for both workshops and save. $115 both dates, or $65 for a single session within this series. 

This includes: Workshop content, positive and encouraging guidance, small group environment, beautiful location on Sylvan Lake, private Facebook group coomraderie, and optional take home exercises to up your game! 

Space is limited to only 12 participants. We have a number of NEW paddle boards available for rent at a small additional fee.

Paddle Fit - Part 1:

-Learn about the structure and properties of your paddle board.
-Discuss how movement is different on land and on water.
-Connect with and develop your core strength on land with yoga and mindful conditioning movements.
-Review the movements and technique to getting on, standing up, and getting off your board on the land...
...then try them out on the water!
-Feel accomplished for having gotten up on your board.
-Enjoy a small paddle together as a group.
-Appreciate the outdoors.
-Time permitting, enjoy a stretch sesh in the sun and answer chat about your questions or experiences.

***No experience necessary. Good for either those completely new to standup paddleboarding or those with some experience and looking to refresh their skills.***

Paddle Fit - Part 2:

-Quick review from Part 1.
-Learn to navigate your board on the water in order to go where you want to go!
-Warm up with a core strengthening on land movement sequence.
-Discuss the important relationship between core strength, balance, and good form!
-Cover proper and effective techniques for turning your board without falling over.
-Take it to the water!
-Practice the drills on the water from Week 1 and 2.
-Build your confidence!
-Breathe in the fresh air...
-Cool down with yoga basics both on and off the water.

***No experience necessary. We'll do our best to catch you up on the basic content from Part 1!***
